Great idea Finn! These ideas when you search wheelchair on IdeaSpies may be helpful. You can also search 4D printing.
A great idea Finn.
Do you have any specifications or concept drawings that you could show manufacturers so they can see what you are trying to prototype?
Good evening Finn. Thank you for updating your great CAD image. I can see your concept much easier now.
Let me reach out to a few good folk in the 3D printing world and manufacturing. In the meantime, drop in a comment replying to the comments you have received, this helps to help grow your conversation thread and connections that you will make in this platform.
You are doing great.
Hey Uprising,
Sorry for not posting a better photo before, I made a mistake. Thank you for reaching out to people in the 3D printing and manufacturing world, it would greatly help.
Cheers Finn
Good idea Finn - my father has a wheelchair and he is always missing his newspaper - I don't know if anything like bike panniers could also be added.
Hey @Jill007
Thanks for liking my idea and thanks for the idea. At this point, I'm not sure if I can add this to my MDP but I most certainly look at it later down the track. I see this product going beyond the MDP and maybe this idea of yours can make an appearance in a future model.
Cheers Finn
Hi Finn,
I love this idea! My brother is in a wheelchair and he has to have a bag on the back which is very inaccessible. Having accessories at arms reach would make life so much easier. Can I recommend having the options of different sizes as every user needs something different depending on their ability. For example, my brother does not have a phone but he has special eye drops that would need a very small zipper spot. Also it would be great if there was insulated components since the said eye drops need to stay cool.
I hope these ideas gave you some insight. Not everyone's needs will be the same.
Rylee
Hey Rylee
Thanks very much for the idea. At the moment I'm currently focusing on individual accessories for phones, waterbottles, and umbrellas. I might not be able to make a custom bag but would an attaching clip/holder for bags be something you are interested in?
Cheers Finn

Teachers are most welcome to the event as well.
Congratulations Finn on your fantastic efforts with your MDP, it has been great to be part of your design journey this year.
Good luck with the submission of your project and adding any finishing touches this week, I am sure you will do great. We hope that you have learned a lot from being part of this year's UpRising and are excited to take your creativity and design thinking into the next steps in life, (which is exactly what business and industry are looking for). Teachers, thank you for helping your students make the leap across the gap, from classroom to industry.
Business leaders, likewise it has been fantastic to connect with you, thank you for all of the support you have given to these young designers and helping to grow the innovation ecosystem in NSW. Breaking down the silos, together.
If you could complete this quick survey that would be greatly appreciated, teachers and business/community also welcome to fill in and provide valuable feedback.
